HDP’s ensemble is comprised of dancers from American Ballet Theatre, including Principals and Soloists.

Jose Sebastian
Artistic Director


A native of New York City, Jose started his dance training at age 8 with the School of American Ballet and continued training there for nearly 10 years. He received additional ballet training at Studio Maestro and private training with Fabrice Herrult and Olga Kostritzky.

Jose joined ABT’s Studio Company in 2006 and American Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in January 2009 and became a member of the corps de ballet in January 2010.

Isabella Boylston


Born in Sun Valley, BIdaho, Isabella began dancing at the age of three. While training at the Academy of Colorado Ballet, she won the gold medal in 2001 at the Youth America Grand Prix Finals in New York City. In 2002, she began training at the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida, on a full scholarship.

Bella joined the ABT Studio Company in 2005, the main Company as an apprentice in May 2006 and the corps de ballet in March 2007. She was promoted to Soloist in June 2011 and to Principal Dancer in August 2014.

James Whiteside


Born in Fairfield, Connecticut, James began his training at age nine at the D’Valda & Sirico Dance and Music Centre, where guest faculty included Charles Kelley, Franco De Vita and Raymond Lukens. He continued his training at the Virginia School of the Arts for one year under the direction of Petrus Bosman and David Keener.

In 2002, James joined Boston Ballet II, where he continued to train under the tutelage of its director Raymond Lukens. He joined the corps de ballet in 2003 and became a second soloist in 2006. He was promoted to first soloist in 2008 and to principal dancer in 2009.

James moved to New York City and joined American Ballet Theatre as a Soloist in September 2012 and was named a Principal Dancer in October 2013.

Thomas Forster


Born in London, England Thomas began his ballet training at the age of eight with The Royal Ballet School Associate Programme.  At 11, he commenced full-time dance training at the Elmhurst School of Dance and then joined the Upper School of The Royal Ballet School in 2002. 

Thomasjoined ABT’s Studio Company in May 2006, the main Company, as an apprentice, in January 2007 and the corps de ballet in December 2007. He soon was appointed a Soloist in August 2015. Forster has also performed with The Royal Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet.

Cassandra Trenary

A native of Georgia, Cassie began her dance training at Lawrenceville School of Ballet. She joined the school’s company, Southern Ballet Theatre, in 2006 under the direction of Phyllis Allen and went on to receive additional training at Southeast Regional Ballet Association conventions and Brookwood High School’s Dance department.

Cassie trained at American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive programs as a National Training Scholar and went on to join the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in 2009. In 2011, she was invited to join ABT II (now ABT Studio Company) on their European tour as an apprentice. In April 2011, Trenary was offered an apprenticeship with ABT and, in November of that year, a corps de ballet contract. She was promoted to Soloist in August 2015.

Blaine Hoven

Born in Mobile, Alabama, Blaine began his training at Mobile Ballet under the direction of Winthrop Corey and Ann Duke. During his high school years, he trained at the North Carolina School of the Arts with Melissa Hayden, Warren Conover, Fanchon Cordell, Nina Danilova and Susan McKee McCollough. He received American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Scholarship from 1999 through 2002 and attended ABT’s Summer Intensive for five summers.

Blaine joined ABT’s Studio Company in September 2003 and the main Company as a member of the corps de ballet in April 2004.In August 2016, he was appointed to Soloist.

Carlos Gonzalez

Born in Madrid, Spain, Carlos Gonzalez began studying classical dance in 2005 at El Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Fortea.  In 2012, he continued his training at El Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma in Madrid. 

In 2013, Gonzalez placed third in the Junior Classical Dance category in the XVII International Dance Competition in Ribarroja del Turia, Spain.

Gonzalez joined the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company in September 2015, became an apprentice with the main Company in December 2016, and joined the corps de ballet in June 2017..

Sung Woo Han

Sung was born in Seoul, South Korea. He began his ballet training at the Sun-hwa Arts Middle School in his hometown and entered Korea National University of Arts at age17. He has won numerous awards including Grand First Prize at the Beijing International Ballet Invitational Competition, International Ballet Competition-Varna, and Youth America Grand Prix. In 2011, he placed the second prize from Prix de Lausanne and received a full scholarship at the Royal Ballet Company.

Sung joined American Ballet Theatre as a member of the corps de ballet in December 2013.

Erica Lall

Erica was raised in Cypress, Texas and began her ballet training at the Houston Ballet Ben Stevenson Academy in 2006.  She performed with Houston Ballet in several productions, including seven seasons of The Nutcracker. She attended summer programs at Houston Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem and ABT, among others. 

In 2013 she continued her training at the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School. She was an ABT National Training Scholar from 2012-2013. She received The Houston Ballet Academy Award in 2013 and the Josephine Premice Fales Award/ABT Project Plié Scholarship from 2013-2015.

Erica joined the ABT Studio Company in September 2014 and later joined American Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in December 2015 and became a member of the corps de ballet in May 2016.

Tyler Maloney

Born in Wyckoff, New Jersey, Tyler started his training at a young age in different styles of dance including jazz, modern, contemporary, hip-hop and later ballet at the local YMCA. At the age of 11, Maloney went to American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive and was accepted into the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, where he trained for the next four years.

Tyler joined ABT’s Studio Company in 2013, joined the main Company as an apprentice in December 2015. He became a member of the corps de ballet in April 2016.
